hey? percy? what're you looking at, percy? where is your gaze pointed right now, percy? what is it in your line of sight that's making you blush, percy? percy? percy

percy ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ at this rate I'm gonna start theorizing this was all just a long con to move in to Leeds' place so she can sleep on an actual mattress
"it's just things" I get what you're trying to say Percy, but also you didn't have that many things to begin with. like I don't even think you had a bed
I usually insist on fully coloring all my comics because They Look Better That Way + I think it's the format that makes my style shine the most
but also what do you MEAN it took me 10 hours to finish one page. comics are indeed suffering
redecorating your living room at 28 brings the same level of enrichment as visiting Chuck E Cheese at 8
we're ordering a new bookshelf for our living room, and i'm so excited. like, absurdly excited. stupid levels of excited. i think i'm more excited than i was for my last birthday
A sketch of half the first page of a Fire Emblem Awakening fan comic. The comic features Chrom introducing Virion to Robin.
me scripting + sketching the comic: "haha yes!! fuck yes!!!"
me lining + coloring the comic: "fuck!! this sucks!! what the fuck!!!"
this is a lie actually. I was already obsessed with niche characters and rarepairs as a little girl. I'm pretty sure that when you google image search 'vatonageshipping' like 50% of the art is mine
ever since i was a little girl i knew i wanted to be obsessed with niche characters and rarepairs
percy hitting that "alex?" like
Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko is a very good manga
A drawing of Robin (Fire Emblem Awakening), with short hair and the Mark of Grima in one eye. It is in a very simplistic, cel-shaded render style.
The same version of Robin, but with more unruly hair. This drawing is in a much more rendered, painterly art style.
the comparison between the first time I drew my Robin and how I drew her today is honestly hilarious
did these 3 sketches throughout the day to test out some new brushes!
I like how, while experimenting with a new rendering style, you can literally see it developing with each drawing
A digital painting of Robin (Fire Emblem Awakening). This rendition of her has short, unruly hair, and the Mark of Grima in her right eye.
one more Robin doodle; I'm having fun experimenting with the new brushes
AHHH this is such a sweet way of putting it ๐ญ thank you!! I'm not very good at 'painterly' styles at all, but it's fun to experiment!
Obsessed with that old man and you nailed his image PERFECTLY mwah, can't compliment it enough
A panel from dungeon meshi that changed my life
THIS IS SOOOO GORGEOUS OH MY GODDD!!! SAKAKI MY BELOVED
A drawing of Virion and Robin (Fire Emblem Awakening). This version of Robin is shorter, with messy short hair, bags under her eyes, and an eye patch. Virion is smiling wide and blushing, gesturing to Robin with one hand and resting the other upon her head. Robin is hunched over and looks exhausted + unamused. Gremlin energy. Virion: "...and this is the Duchess Robin Rosanne, my darling, beautiful, radiant WIFE!! Stunning, isn't she?" Robin: - hasn't slept in 3 days - committed 2 war crimes - will commit a third if she doesn't get her coffee soon
this is their dynamic to me
A drawing of Leia (Harvest Moon DS).
testing some new brushes
if this unicorn man has no fans then i'm dead
I drew Ondorus for this collab!! It's been so fun being a part of this project ๐
Marth: "Now, Alear. It's time to Engage."
alright man I get it
It's easier for me to digest if I think of it as more of a spin-off/celebration than an actual mainline game. The story, setting, characters and visuals are all very 'saturday morning cartoon' as opposed to 'medieval fantasy game about the horrors of war'
The gameplay is very good though
I will say that I do like Alear's design a lot. I know everyone dunked on it in the beginning but we all know that I'm a big ol slut for heterochromia. The two-tone hair is also fun
I made their birthday 1/25, the same as William Colgate, founder of Colgate Toothpaste
decided to do a replay of Engage to see if my opinion of it will change 3 years later. watching the opening video, my thoughts so far are:
1. maybe I was too harsh on this art style. At the very least, it looks really fucking good animated
2. oh my god this song is ass. It's so fucking terrible
Here's my second contribution to this project!! Marco my beloved... my favorite non-marriageable character in Frontier, and it's owed entirely to his CCS Syaoran Li vibes
I have a 'visual library' folder on my external hard drive where I keep a finely labeled and sectioned database of artists, franchises, etc that I am inspired by!! It's a lifesaver when I'm looking for specific refs when building an inspo board
head in my hands as I try to remember the name of this artist who drew gorgeous comics of an ace attorney rarepair but I can't remember their name and they seem to have entirely disappeared from the internet
begging everyone to keep some sort of record of artists they like. whether it's a notes app where you list their name + the thing you like them for, or a labeled folder with saved public images of their art. because if not, you risk forgetting their name and being completely unable to locate them
