last week I wrote to the Governor of HMP New Hall in Wakefield about the wellbeing of hunger-striker, Heba Muraisi.
Heba and other hunger strikers have been held on remand for an excessive amount of time for non-violent protest action…
i call on the Secretary of State for Justice to engage with the families and legal team of the hunger-strikers and seek to resolve this crisis.
Standing by passively is not acceptable. Immediate government action is essential.
