I have used Mutant Caterpillar Games in Wales for fixing several Commodore retro computers for me, but he fixes Sinclair computers also. Can not recommend him enough.

You should be able to save some cpu cycles by branching back only to loop2, the y register is already 0, no need to load it with 0 again.

And of course after the price drop we had customers that had just paid the old price come back being very angry and demanding their money back.

It was actually not very cool for me as a 17 year old school kid working in that shop after school hours in spring and early summer that year knowing that the price would drop to below 50% and having to sell it for 6000 to customers.

The text is actually "Commodore has halved the saving time for you". I was working in a computer shop in 1983 when the importer in Norway became a daughter firm of Commodore and the price for the C64 went from about NOK 6000 to 2700.
