For years after, I would get “Pro-Life newsletters” from them, and eventually, a few years after my dad passed, I just didn’t pay my yearly dues (they charge you to be a member lmao) and told them to suspend my membership.

I never did anything with them.

Just remembered another. When I was 18-19, I joined the Knights of Columbus (my dad wanted me to, I didn’t know how to say no back then).

They mentioned how the Knights were the ones who got “Under God” added to the Pledge of Allegiance.

I couldn’t believe they considered that a good thing.

A broken, blue heart
