Thank you, @rocklabstrasbourg.bsky.social, for your patience and support! Can't wait to see what secrets these little rocks have to reveal ๐
It's been almost 9 years since I first walked through these doors, barely knowing what a volcano was. And here I am now, working in a great research team, collaborating with top international scientists, and eventually returning to where it all started.
Life's a funny thing.
Discussing Forchheimer and Klinkenberg corrections for permeability data with @annathrl.bsky.social, who is currently visiting Strasbourg to measure her many dome samples! ๐

With @annathrl.bsky.social and @frankiehaywood.bsky.social doing more experiments and measurements at LMU.
On the road again (or should I say in the air again)! Off to @unistra.fr first and then a few weeks in @lmumuenchen.bsky.social !
It's worth at least a Punk with a view.
See you there @fabianwadsworth.bsky.social @frankiehaywood.bsky.social ๐๐ผ
Wonderful sunny visit to Lancaster with @annathrl.bsky.social to visit @htuffen.bsky.social! What a delight to see sintering textures from lava samples and to ponder new research questions with treasured collaborator, Hugh!
Another visit to the local cafรฉ with @annathrl.bsky.social and her rocks. This time itโs chunks of the Arico ignimbrite from Tenerife that capture a gradational transition from poorly to densely welded.
Not too bad of a view for a morning reading in @geotenerife.bsky.social
(Hello there @fabianwadsworth.bsky.social)
Super successful week spent in Munich doing sintering experiments with @frankiehaywood.bsky.social and compiling dome textures and properties with @annathrl.bsky.social!
Exciting to be heading to @lmumuenchen.bsky.social with @annathrl.bsky.social for a kick off meeting for Annaโs project and to do some exciting experiments with @frankiehaywood.bsky.social!
