For the first time in far too long, I sat down for an entire hour last night and read a book for my own entertainment. It felt good to flip those pages and sip my elderberry tea. I don't have very much joy in my life overall, so that hour really meant a lot.

Now people are either going with really unique spellings of common names or just inventing new stuff lol. There are a lot of pop culture names too, like Arya.

I have a relatively unusual first name (it’s not Tai) and I remember always wanting to find my name on a keychain. But I was also glad to not be mixed up with 20 other folks with the same name.

Name cycles are so fascinating to me. When I was in school in the 90s and 2000s, there were so many kids named Jessica, Ashley, Brandon, John, etc. I don’t think my kids have any classmates with those names. Idk a Brandon under 35 😂

My nephew is named Michael but he’s also named after his dad.

Cooking it early on Christmas Eve (Wednesday) so we can eat it through Friday. By Saturday I will be ready to cook again lol. Will probably do a quick French toast bake or something Christmas morning.

I'm doing something different with food for Christmas this year. I don't feel like cooking a bunch of stuff and eating the same food we literally just ate a month ago. So, I am gonna do a crabcake dip, a beef dip w/ chips, veggie tray, smoked chicken wings, cookies, deviled eggs, and meatballs.
