- connected graphdb to frontend, full e2e flow working for displaying navigation
- met with uosu, they're using Simpli for SLA 🎉 and want two more contracts 👀

trying out codex and immediately thinking about how claude would not treat me with this

- moving all my graphdb code into a clean, prod ready branch
- wasting time at with the homies at work

another day of going from wake up->work->sleep

- woke up early and started writing cypher, dont play
- meetings and work politics all day
- dashcon organizers want to do a focus group, which is scary and exciting

back on the graphdb grind

- SLEPT ALL DAY IDK WHY AHH
- dashcon 2 launched their tickets, almost 20k people tried to buy a ticket in around 15 mins, last year this crashed us
- this year we survived which made things anticlimactic

hopefully just a reset day

- driving back from london after a successful demo
- got home and go to sleep (stayed up late at the hotel)
- wake up to go eat sushi for iftar
- tried a ginger hammer drink from booster juice that attacked me physically
- went home and sleep some more

- presented my db structure and thankfully it got picked as our way forward
- excited to lock in on this tech for the next few weeks
- had a depressing but insightful dinner about life

kind of awks to compare peoples designs but good to be validated

2026 day 56 (15%)

- feeling pretty sick but driving to london to present my graph db structure
- got to the hotel and created my presentation using slidev
- didn't make any last minutes changes to the db, which is a good place to be in

database can be so much fun

i feel very accomplished when i pick option 3 and give my reasoning

- setting up a new neo4j setup, largely backed by claude
- internally creating some rules on how to use a graphdb for our use case (when to use a node/relationship)
- got sick
- discussing future role

not as much work done as i had hoped, got pulled into management

- watching some courses on neo4j, learning some querying techniques and graphdb best practices
- discussing biznezz ideas with the boys
- upgrading simpli rls for our admin views

wanted to code more neo4j

- watched canada take another L
- sleep all day
- go to jaffy's ramadan buffet (kind of mid)
- go to brkfree (peak)
- get slurpee

no coding, but after the day before being so productive, it's ok

- full day of coding on the last contract project, finished all every module, connected prod domain and supabase
- just lots of testing left now
- did most of the work with claude yolo mode, hate that it goes into plan mode

- travelling shenanigans over, time to lock in
- reviewing some old PRs
- arguing with client facing team about things that are not possible
- first day of fasting
- tried to upgrade Simpli to next 15 (failed)

- in person work day, met the big boss, demo'd progress with neo4j, he was blown away but big promises were made
- caused a bug last minute, had fun fixing it

- solved promptly and offered a $1k bounty for the find from our good samaritan
- caught up to the Pitt
- went for Korean fried chicken w friends
