In theory, yes. In reality, voting power is heavily diluted away from democracy, especially at the national level. So make sure to ALSO vote in primaries, research your local candidates, and vote in other democratic institutions such as unions, co-ops, political parties, local organizations, etc!

What’s one thing you’re doing for #democracy electorally and one thing you’re doing beyond electoral systems, in 2026? Since we need both. Me:
1. Canvassing for municipal elections (mayor and city council).
2. Procott outreach to support small, local businesses over oligarchic / Trump-aligned biz.
No, I’m pretty sure I’d think it was stupid regardless. Not the first thing I thought was lacking in the book, but I still think most of it is good. He’s obviously a bit ignorant and quite privileged and sometimes writes nonsense, but he seems to at least be trying. *Some* of the book is fantastic.
Funnily enough, the section I just started reading sounds totally stupid to me. Most of the book up to this point has been great.

According to this fantastic #book, books about healing are what’s hot right now. This book might sound more like a “self-help” book, but I think of it more as a book on healing bc healing is what I’m focused on and this fits right in. It also talks about trauma and is highly relevant to this moment.
