I've been surprised by the BLS numbers. I expected total corruption because of Trump but after they revised the 2025 numbers down by 1m+ in January and posted horrible numbers for Feb, I now wonder if the Bureau of Labor Stats is still relatively immune from external pressure. Difficult to say.
Forbes, like most business magazines, is staffed predominantly - but not exclusively - by Republicans. This headline was certainly written by a Trump supporter. No serious economist saw the January "bounce" in jobs as "a turnaround" when the 2025 numbers were revised down by 1,000,000+.
Earlier data actually pointed to a moribund labor market: the January numbers included a downward revision to jobs created in 2025 by 1m.
This is not okay.
U.S. Rep. David Scott is only partly at fault in my opinion.
At what point do we blame the people around these politicians for artificially propping them up and misleading their constituents?
This is going to be a weird recession. It may not even qualify - growth could continue even as millions lose their jobs. Job declines in every single sector while wages increase. Worrisome
together-ments is too hard to say!
For a brief time after 9/11 I worked at the former Citibank HQ on Park Avenue. They had a gigantic cafeteria where "Every Thursday is Earth Day". As for MTWFSS - something else.
It also decreases the likelihood of universal healthcare in the United States *ever* happening.
Tolyatti resident Polina Yevtushenko, 26, is sentenced to 14 years in prison. She was charged with spreading βfake newsβ about the military, insults against Vladimir Putin, inciting terrorism and preparing for treason for talking about the Ukrainian army with a resident of Samara Nikolai Komarov
Nancy Pelosi and the Times editorial board. No one else I can think of. Why would anyone support him? The awful lane in the next presidential primary is going to be crowded - Newsom Rahm Shapiro etc.

I believe that propaganda, like gerrymandering, reaches a level where it becomes dumb and backfires. If true, then Hegseth's rhetoric has blown through this threshold. Did anyone *not* cringe when watching this?
Ditto for the NJ suburbs. They ran a dirty, covert campaign against Tom Malinowski. The campaigns against Cori Bush and Jamal Bowman in the last cycle were trial runs. An ugly - tinged by racism - business that is doing serious harm to the Democrat party.
It is an inexpensive way to boost state-wide races. I find this argument very compelling. The fact that it leads to victories in unexpected places like school district elections is strategically very important as well - it creates a foundation we can build on.
My view on Maine is opinion. I'm not a Maine expert. Here's the story: Schumer backed Janet Mills, who on paper is a good candidate but very very old. Because of backlash we now have a man w Nazi tattoos as a front runner. I view this as bad management by Chuck.
I agree. Fraud Tsar V*nce hired five military transport planes + 9 others to move 100 armored SUVs to the Milan Olympics so his 400 person entourage could watch figure skating. Defending Minnesota's excellent record is nice, but why not punch back hard? The waste is outrageous.
Crockett got more votes than any of the three Republicans. That's the simplest answer to give defeatists and nay-sayers.
That's health coverage for 40m people, @12,500 per year.
That's one year's health coverage for 80,000 people @ $12,500 per head.
Absolutely stunning view of Super Blood Moon rising over Stonehenge tonight. π΄
Yes but Maine is a fiasco. Mixed results from Chuck. Cooper is a great candidate in a tough race though thank goodness
Is the same true on the Republican side?
This money could provide health insurance for 2 million people for one year!
Ohio has approved a $4.5 million sales tax exemption for a data center expansion project. The project will create 10 new full-time jobs.

This is why I find V*nce's entourage of 400 people in 100 armor plated SUVs disturbing. It has a praetorian guard vibe.
That's health care coverage for 25000 people for one year.
