TORNADO SURVEY: NWS Shreveport has determined that the Prospect tornado is an EF-2 with estimated peak wind of ~ 115 MPH. The tornado touched down just before US-59, quickly crossing the highway. Once east of US-59, it crossed over E Prospect Rd. before lifting a few minutes later near Hall Rd.
MAGNITUDE UPGRADED: The latest from USGS shows the Edgefield, LA earthquake has been UPGRADED from a magnitude 4.4 to magnitude 4.9. This is the second strongest earthquake in Louisiana, behind a quake that occurred near Grand Isle in 2006. #louisiana #earthquake #coushatta

COUSHATTA EARTHQUAKE: Another weak earthquake occurred about 3.7 miles west of Coushatta, LA this morning around 1:44 AM. The epicenter is located off of US 371, right in between LA HWY 177 and US 84. It was a magnitude 2.9 earthquake with a depth of 3.1 miles.
