Will give this a go next. We've just had our third helping of you beef shin and polenta recipe from a few weeks back. Amazing!

And yet, some of the poorest parts are also in the south east (where I live in Hastings for eg).
That's Hastings (Pelham place). The little car looks like an Austin A35)
I think the prices for the hs1 route will be the same as they are for the Charing cross route for the duration of the works. 5 minute dash across to platform 6 though & of course there's almost always a delay.
The same reason I've left the larger subs on Reddit. It's depressing seeing the brigading and the bots every time I pick up my phone.
What an insane story that highlights so much of what's wrong with America. Bonkers
Bayte. But also coquina, st Clements, winifreds, albo. There are quite a few now
No courage, no bravery and no ambition. So disappointing
View across a valley to the Mediterranean, blue sky, blue sea
Been coming to this village in the Alpujarras since the 80s & other than the plastico & turbines nothing has really changed.
Mules & goats head down into the valley at 7, cockerel cacophony at 8, church bells every 15 minutes & the sun makes its predictable path down & up the valley sides.
A lot of which is down to appalling lack of investment in infrastructure & wastage through leaks, both of which can & must be addressed.
Iβve worked in DCs across the world & seen tremendous improvements in efficiency. The UK needs to be a centre for tech to remain relevant & AI is where itβs at.
Whatβs more, certain countries do have an inherent advantage. Iceland for eg, itβs cold so cooling is cheaper and has geotherm for power. The UK has an abundance of wind and water so potentially has an advantage over say, California or Texas.
Indeed, but weβre not talking about the US (where much of the increase is centred around crypto mining). My point was mainly around the language used in the article. itβs citing worst case scenarios and then making nonsensical comparisons between the UK/Global resource requirements.
Thereβs a lot of comparing global stats to the uk in that rather alarmist article. Saying global water use for AI cooling could equate to 2/3 of the UKs annual water usage for example, or comparing usage to Denmark. Why Denmark?
Also weird that supermarkets like Morrisons have stopped selling liquids and now only sell disposables. Youβre right about doubling up though, always carry a spare refillable to ward off the late night fear of having to go 20 minutes without nicotine.
I hate needing nicotine
Would be a real shame if the value of agricultural land dropped dramatically as a result of closing the tax loopholeβ¦
It probably is a priority, but i suspect BS resources are somewhat stretched!
Sunrise over the English Channel, taken from west hill in #hastings
Lovely sunrise from west hill in #hastings this morning.
Ships heading for the Atlantic and even one heading up the channel in the far shipping lane, which is a rare sight.
A bit of Fata Morgana thrown in for good measure
Thatβs very true but i dont think IHT is going to be what causes many farms to go bust. The larger farms that IHT affects will find ways of dealing with it.
Large farms are vastly different to family small holdings - theyβre technologically very developed and often very well run.
Eurgh. My builders appear to have an aversion to shutting the front door. Currently hiding upstairs wearing two jumpers and three pairs of socks.
In the case of a large farm, theyβd have 10 years to pay whatever reduced rate IHT was owed.
The problem with food production in this country is the limited market, the huge buying power of supermarkets and our obsession with cheap food (which we waste a lot of).
Something to do with lumbar puncturing? Or a torture device
Iβm struggling to believe this is real. Is it real?
Quiet beach in the off season
Hastings, and all of the day-trippers and tourists have gone home. The townsβ ours again.
This used to be the view out of the back of my house when i lived that side of town. Loved it when the sun was setting and the west hill windows reflected the golds and oranges.
Can just see the beacon
All seems a bit laggy this evening
So is he going to do to America what he did to twitter? Yikes
Day 56 of having builders in the house. Now at the point of not even seeing the dust everywhere
