Discovered earlier that my girlfriend remembers watching Around the World with Willy Fog and Belle and Sebastian (the cartoon) as a child. German language dubs, obv. (She hasnβt heard of Dogtanian or The Mysterious Cities of Gold, however.)

Good point about the chip design (donβt consider that)! Yes, same concern about how usable the system will be running Mac OS 27, 28, etc.
I mean, the MacBook Neo⦠I understand the ongoing issues with RAM supply, but would it have hurt Apple to put in 12gb?
Cool.
(My gf had all her hair clippered off recently. Then dyed it orange. Looks good though.)
If you are looking at buying a cartridge of a homebrew release for a retro system, always check with whoever made the original game to see if the person selling the cart/CDRom has permission to do so.
If they don't, don't buy it. It's that damn simple.
He is weird enough to have gone round wearing a wedding ring at age 14, to be fair.
Two weeks is slower timeframe than 45 minutes, I guess.
βJust hook it to my veinsβ meme image. With Barney Gumble from The Simpsons.
The Intel iMac to M1 iMac upgrade subjectively felt like upgrading a Reliant Kitten to the USS Enterprise.*
* the spaceship, not the aircraft carrier. But I imagine the latter is still faster than a Reliant.
An M-type processor and 8gb runs a load better than one of the Intel Macs did with the same RAM load, I give you that!
The Tories really are fully mask-off these days, arenβt they?
Yeah, thatβs not very good. MacOS is absolutely crippled with anything less than 16GB RAM. Relieved my gf went for a βproperβ MacBook last month rather than waiting for that.
Classics (2006) Grimlock in robot mode.
Classics β06 Grimlock is excellent as well. The SS86 one is all very good as an exact Diaclone/G1 remake, but thereβs something about how the Classics figure simultaneously looks rather like Action Master Grimlock but also suggesting something new(er) and modern(ish). Better dinosaur mode, too.
Strange how βbillionaire with Nazi viewsβ keeps happening, almost like the two are inherently related
The WfC/Legacy/SS86 Bumblebees arenβt a patch on the Classics β06 one. Itβs the βmodern reimaginingβ concept executed near-perfectly, and the flight pack (calling back to the Action Master Bumblebee), thatβs a cherry on top of a delicious cake.
A picture of Titans Return Soundwave in robot mode, and his Decepticon cassette minions (and TR Overkill).
TR Soundwave. Yes, heβs a bit too βDreamwaveβ in terms of robot mode proportions, and a bit too obviously a remoulded Blaster, but easily beats the later WfC and SS86 versions in terms of being entertainingly good. The Decepticon tapes reimagined as tablet computers was a great touch too.
Used to work with someone who worked for Paragon years ago. Yeah, D. Perry wasnβt a likeable or popular colleague. To put it mildly.
Yes. He did write for AF around 1990 as well, before leaving for Sega Power. Think he co-founded and worked for a games software company for a while too.
Cover art or 25 OβClock, the sixties psychedelic album by The Dukes of Stratosphear.
Iβve heard of 25 OβClock, but that takes the metaphorical biscuit!
Oh FFS, heβs still having every single
meal slathered with Nonce Salt.
Starting to wonder how many people realise how disruptive GenAI could be to the entire tech industry. Weβre seeing the odd news piece here and there. Shortages. Cancellations of niche fare. Price rises. But these are gradually growing β expanding out. The long-term ramifications are not great.
Screengrab of Atariβs Missile Command (1980 arcade version) which I got via a web search.
Atariβs Missile Command is 46 years old this year. Depressing how often the game resembles modern TV news footage.
Masthead for issue 6 of Nipper, promoting 'New BIG size', 'Same price: 28p'

Itβs more sinister than that; theyβve taken βworking classβ to almost exclusively mean βnative white Britishβ.
Iβm sure a third was a βVordermanβ in my day. For some reason.
Most βwill this do?β TV channel ident design ever.
Just feels weβre being governed by yet another direct heir to the Cameron government, just with a nominally non-Tory prime minister for varietyβs sake.
Thankfully the original is available on Hamsterβs Arcade Archives series, although unfortunately it only has one of the 7(!) ROM revisions of the game. (Yes, there is a reason why the Mega Drive conversion has different levels to Oceanβs home computer release of TNZS.)
The Nintendo DS semi-remake looks like a flawed work of art compared to that new take on TNZS. :/
N64 Magazine had a VHS tape with its first issue, IIRC. Footage of upcoming games. Pretty handy as a visual preview back when streaming video clips over the internet wasnβt a thing. At least not for those of us on dial-up.
