Point remains Karl that both parties are centre-left. I’d welcome a coalition of both including the Greens after the next general election. But I doubt that will happen because of the reasons I’ve mentioned before.

Fair enough Karl, I accept your point regarding voting, however in the wider sense, the SocDems and Labour do not diverge in policy in such a way that a Joe Soap like me can tell the difference.

And Sinn Fein are nothing short of a disgrace when it comes to animal rights and the protection of the environment.

Some oats taste a bit salty, or have an aftertaste. I’ve had most of them at this stage.

Maybe check out Minor Figures regular oat. It’s in a yellow carton and got a dude dressed up as a chicken on it 😝 For me it’s the best tasting, most versatile oat drink, especially nice in tea and coffee 😋

Vets are fantastic I find.

I gave my last cat subcutaneous fluids every day or two for a year and a half (supplied by my vets) to support her kidney disease. They said themselves she wouldn’t have lasted as long without that intervention. I appreciate the faith they placed in me to do that.

It's impossible to imagine a world without them. I could never envisage life without my golden retriever Holly (my soul mate), yet she's now gone nine years.

One thing I know for sure is you never forget them.

Very, very hard call to make. It's not an exact science. One vet of mine in the past said to leave them go when they're having more bad days than good. Some might let them go when the bad days begin.

I think experience helps. I would probably have left some of them go a little sooner in hindsight.

I’ve seen quite a few critters pass away over the years 😢

For me, what was far worse than letting them go was watching them decline through time towards the inevitable. That is absolutely awful 😣
