i’m wondering if my chronic migraines are mold related because they only recently started. i’m scared shitless for my birds bc i don’t know how fast the exposure will kill them. it all sucks a lot and im tryin my best!!
it feels like the last hurdle into finally starting to stabilize. i have a career, i make decent enough money to live and start putting cash back, but saving at the speed i need to is impossible when im paying a grand out of pocket for a root canal and weekly vet visits for atlas
with what i pay in rent each month i could easily pay a mortgage and have money left to SAVE. but i cant save much in time. my house is a ticking time bomb. i’m waiting for water to get in the electric outlets and catch my house on fire. i don’t know how to prevent it.
and getting old collections removed, and i found this house that i want so fucking bad but there’s just no feasible way to save up 6k before it goes off market. it has a sun room and a huge yard and it’s in walking distance of my job so it’d be perfect ):
i think what sucks the most is that i may qualify for a loan so i could get my own mortgage but it’d be closer to like 6k of savings than the 2-3k it’d be to just move to another rental. i’m trying to figure out what the best steps are and im just so frickin frazzled!!

my floor rot issue is getting worse, and the mold has taken over my basement. the rot goes all the way through the floor, and there's water dripping near outlets.

mold is nothing to mess around with, it can make you extremely unwell and you wouldnt even know how badly your own home is affecting you until you leave.

if it's glaucoma we can handle it with medication and eventually get his eye removed but if it ends up being cancer idk if he'd need more than having it removed but it's just all very spooky. none of them except for this last vet have taken me seriously so i'm hoping we get it figured out asap
he definitely has an ulcer now, but the high pressure was from before the first mark and it's like.. a red smudge that's visibly raised? and his eye's always been just slightly bigger than his other one, but i can't keep treating him for glaucoma to see if that's what it is until after his ulcer :(
there'll always be this fear that i'm going to lose him the way that i lost indie. sudden and traumatic. he's around 7 now and i'm just like. ah.

shepherd they get in. even with his dog aggression, we did a lot of redirecting while in the waiting room and he was mostly quiet and checking in. we're working on cooperative care too because he doesn't enjoy the vet doing anything to his eye so i have to usually be a huge part of it.
he's on three different medications now and we have a follow up on monday. cancer is another possibility. regardless if it's glaucoma or cancer, i need to get that eye taken out. it's just been really stressful the last few weeks. on the bright side, the vet's office said he's the most well behaved/
and this time another vet saw it and just went "oh. let's check for an ulcer" and so they did the stain test and he just. has a huge ulcer. and then they said that recent studies show that treating for glaucoma when the dog has ulcers can make the ulcers worse. like why didnt they think to check??
from him bumping it. showed them a pic and everything. they said it was fine, but they think he has glaucoma, so gave me eye drops to treat. at the end of his treatment right before his followup, theres a NEW red section in his eye, and there's more discharge and it's discolored. so we go back//
made an appt with a diff vet. the red mark cleared up but then turned into this cloudy scar almost? explained that they need to check his bad eye first bc he doesnt like it. the eye pressure was even HIGHER this time. 44 instead of 32. the average is around 20. said the red mark was likely just//
the first vet to test his eye pressure tested his good eye first, and when he didn't like it, they tested the blind one and said his eye pressure being abnormally high in it was just b/c he was stressed. i was like ok.
then he developed this red mark in it, started having extra discharge, so i//
he's been blind in his eye the whole time i've had him. i don't know what happened but it's always been cloudy, he's totally blind. three different vets have seen him now and it's a struggle getting a direct answer as to what he has going on. it could be glaucoma, it could be cancer, who knows.
haven't really been around much. atlas is very likely going to lose his right eye but there's so many variables right now. i'm just scared

have started paying off old credit cards in collections, i have no reason to really do paid work and i just like seeing people happy honestly
doing stuff for my regulars. it's v emotionally fulfilling doing stuff just to do it and once i sort through all of my comms i think im gonna just... only do free art from here on out. i got so burnt out doing stuff just for money to make ends meet and now that i'm almost caught up on bills and//
i also recently got really big back into sewing. fixed my sewing machine and im about to start selling dog bandanas and dog collars locally and open up my own online shop. i have a few pet sticker designs that im polishing up too that im gonna start handing out at work for free bc i genuinely love//
still working through my queue in the mean time but ive been pretty quiet the last few months. im also talking with someone about opening our own grooming salon so we've just been kind of storming ideas and ive been handling most of the art work aspect of it even though its a year+ in the future
