New Desperate Attune!

due to this editor's brain currently doing its best impression of a small, forgotten rock at the bottom of a poisoned well, today's episode is going to be a few hours late.
my apologies from the well.
Apologies for the late post, but here's more skullduggery and nation-building in the ruins of Convergence Valley.

Very similar to the old boss
New Convergence Valley episode!

We are posting our Christmas episode the day after Christmas because we did a regular episode post on Christmas
Merry Christmas, this is more Blades '68, and it is probably the most deranged thing we have ever done
desperateattune.podbean.com/e/a-desperat...
In this episode we do high stakes negotiations and Ahiri is mostly occupied with the boiler that she had nonconsensually installed

Lady Iskandaric gets run over by a car in this episode
desperateattune.podbean.com/e/no-anthem-...
The second episode, with apologies for the delay. Much blood is shed.
desperateattune.podbean.com/e/no-anthem-...
The ways we are to each other reflect how strange a place the post-apocalypse - the post-post-apocalypse, even - must be.
Ahiri, the owner of a bar who tries to simply continue to exist around these otherwise very violent people, knows that it's important to separate your personal life from your professional life.
So he's a man when he's at home, and a woman when she's working. Other genders only by special request.
Lady Iskandaric leads a pack of ruffians, hoodlums, and ne'er-do-wells, none of whom are allowed to be like her, because she's the boss and they're not.
So if she's a woman, none of them can be women. You want to be one of us, you gotta follow the rules.
Tar-Minotaur, Knight of the Order of the Worm, and Perfidelity, their squire, are defined by who they are to each other and who they represent to the world. For them, 'presentation' is about presenting the face of knighthood.
We're very interested in exploring how gender can be mutable when we let go of so many of our basic assumptions about society, which means that all our PCs are reactions to the ways we think about traditional roles and what it means to fulfil them as a gendered person
Episode 2 of No Anthem, our weird Apocalypse World game comes out today (Episode 3 for patrons!)
Our previous work is very grounded in our South Asian influences and backgrounds, but this season is fully devoted to seeing exactly how unhinged we can get, no holds barred.
Burned Over's playtest draft has been available to Vincent Baker's Patreon supporters for a while now, but the game's public release is on crowdfunding right now.

This is our session 0, where we mostly set-up and then cliffhanger -- but if you're already impatient for the action, we are releasing each episode one week early on Patreon!
Episode 2 is already live.

A lot of hands went into this laser-cut sculpture of the U'duasha map from Sumirror by @desperateattune.bsky.social and I am very happy to have it on my wall now
We've been putting out these bonus episodes to tide y'all over as we prepare to drop all of S3 starting in November. Hope to see y'all there too with No Anthem, played in Apocalypse World: Burned Over.
We're back with Blades 68 by @olddog.games and @evilhat.bsky.social
Space rockets, lasers, heartbreak, secret identities, robots passionate about goats, the importance of daily walks, are all part of the schemes of... the Queen of Harts!

you WILL be hearing more about this
Zoheb here, using our AUDIENCE to spread the word that I'm getting my first TTRPG published.
Please get in on this action with Zine Club, and spread the word. The game means a lot to me, and I've had the privilege of working with really lovely and talented people to make words into game.
Our talented Zine Fiend @carrion-comfort.com brought in Zoheb of @desperateattune.bsky.social's game Midnight in Perfect World for this month's Zine Club & it is a tremendous game.
Zoheb has been an amazing creator to work with & I can wait for folks to hold this game.
Mustache Bias?
I don't know what that prize would be. Maybe I do like the thing where you can hire a celebrity to do you a custom audio, except it's Bidrohi speaking and it's for free.
Is that a thing people would consider a gift and not a curse?
A listener who works out the really stupid joke at the heart of this oneshot gets a special prize.
Feminism. International espionage. Science rats. HIGH SPEED RACING. It's all coming to a head in...
THE PINGUS AFFAIR.
We teased it, so here's the whole thing.

We're back with a oneshot of Blades '68 by @olddog.games and @evilhat.bsky.social. Dropping this week, with a little teaser of what to expect from...
THE PINGUS AFFAIR.
The 2 seasons we've uploaded are in the same continuity and setting and can be listened to back to back for the 'best' experience, but we designed season 2 to work fine on its own. Our upcoming season is fully standalone.
