I have never been more prepared for Tarris & Samson to combine for 26 & 12 with 6 blocks while Karaban carves up the defense on back cuts and Liam attacks the rim at at will meanwhile getting gashed into oblivion by corner 3s and fouls

I donβt see a path to get up the 7 line, outside winning the Big East tournament. Teams directly in front of UConn on Bracket Matrix keep winning (except Marquette) & have better metrics. The committee also severely discounts conf tournaments, but winning it couldnβt be ignored.

One of my favorite things to do is grab Upside outside MSG after a game. An elite NYC slice.
No idea what to expect tomorrow: this team shows flashes of greatness & stretches of brutality. They play up & down to competition + have not won 3 gms in a row since Jan 1. That has not happened between 1/1-2/23 since 2020. Defense has significantly improved, but the offense has taken a step back.

Despite the results of the last two trips to Newark, I will be in the building today. If UConn loses, it's my fault. I'm sorry in advance.

It's February 12 and the next UConn Men's Basketball gets on a plane is the NCAA Tournament
Liam McNeeley
I am still in shock this team won in Omaha. What a rollercoaster.
Things I am optimistic about: someone that had not played in 6 weeks looked above and away the best player on the floor
Things I am concerned about: someone that had not played in 6 weeks looked above and away the best player on the floor
Usually sad when there is no mid-week game but grateful to rest them all up for the home stretch
Dan Hurley: βWe got held the whole game. Look at the free throw differential. Where is the freedom of movement?β
Frustrating: nights like this represent stagnation imo. They've played this exact same game tonight 5-6 times this season and have won more than lost but made it harder than necessary. They have shown they are so much better than this, but too many self-inflicted wounds kill them
Please win.
Itβs that time of year again folks:

Need big games from Tarris and Samson defensively today to keep Sorber in check
Through 15 games this season, UConn Menβs Basketball has already won as many games by five points or less (4) as the last two seasons combined. Itβs fun, but stressful.

Turns out, I was very wrong! Thank you Hassan, Tarris, and Aidan for saving the day.
Today I think is a big moment for Karaban. Assuming Hopkins does not go, PC has no one that can guard him. He has been very strong of late towards end of games, but he could feast the full 40 today.
Nice of them to have an honorary seat for me at arenas across the country
The good news with McNeeley injury is for the second year in a row, the toughest part of the schedule is in February and there is a real opportunity for multiple guys to step in and make some major strides. We saw that last year when Clingan missed time. But Liam has been great, big void to fill.
Good transition defense has a 100% approval rating. Everyone loves fundamental ball. Heal quick, Liam.

Definitely saw team was deflated once Liam got knocked out but a resilient response down the stretch particularly big time shots by Karaban and Samson was clutch on both ends.
Biggest concern for today is shaking off the rust in the opening minutes given amount of time off
Biggest area of focus is the significant amount of practice time to improve perimeter defense, which has gotten some bad luck and already gotten better but still has room to grow
This is absolutely ridiculous
