Spent today in Copenhagen visiting my old research group (and then at the bar with former postdoc buddies) as "usual". Back into furry mode for the next five days though!

At Manchester airport, flying out to Copenhagen shortly for NFC! The new upgraded terminal (which even Easyjet flies out of now) is pretty nice - I'm still mentally adjusting to this airport no longer being a sinkhole of despair...
Oh - maybe I am just behind, I haven't watched the Olympics in a while!! Anyway it is cute and I approve (and the mascots this year are good)

Of course, some of the difference versus furcons is that the latter are purely volunteer-run - I'm always thankful for con volunteers for all they do to keep cons running and accessible!
On the train home now - it was a short con for me but I had a great time! Looking forward to doing it again in a week or so 8)
