Shame on NYU Langone for ending gender-affirming care & kicking trans New Yorkers to the curb. It's a violation of their promise to treat all people equally, kindly, and respectfully — and a violation of NYC's human rights law as well. Bending the knee is bad; denying people care is even worse.

This is really horrific. Their website has also scrubbed all mention of previous trans youth healthcare, including in providers' bios. It's Orwellian.
Eliminating gender studies courses helps to ensure that universities and other institutions will continue to protect men who benefit from the abuse of women and girls, either directly or through their connections to those who exploit girls and women for profit.

This is what happened in our neighborhood yesterday. ICE snatched a human being off of our streets, roughed them up badly, and then pepper sprayed legal observers as they documented it all. This is a daily occurrence happening all throughout Minnesota right now.

ICE attacked a family trying to LEAVE the besieged neighborhood and hospitalized a 6 month old baby that couldn’t breathe.
The “if she had complied, she’d still be alive” line that we’re hearing from ICE defenders is the mantra of apologists for security forces in dictatorships through the ages.

Devastating. Was grading my own students' final papers, took a break and saw that my college roommate's son at Brown is okay but terrified. As a professor and a mom to college-aged kids, this feels so close. And so heartbreaking.

Freeing myself from the obligation to travel. Driving hours to family worked until I had a child with extreme motion sickness. It took courage to switch it up but we created new traditions and the OG fam sometimes even travel to us. Traditions should be an anchor not a straightjacket.
