On a logical level, I get it: you push early, you get in line, and with some luck, you make your arrival early. Everyone wins.
In practice, if things are the least bit busy, you just get moved out to the penalty box until your scheduled departure anyway. Sucks for everyone.
If it makes you feel better — I waited for an emergency vehicle with lights + siren while having a green light in my direction, and someone went around me to turn right anyway; zero fucks given.
I got stopped the other day by an entire flock of geese that decided they wanted to have an impromptu block party without the proper permits or road closure signs.

I still know at least one guy that unironically uses an iPod Shuffle for workouts, despite it being ancient and totally EOL. Turns out a simple device that is “random music box” that can be had for $30-40 so it’s not a big deal if lost/damaged is exactly what he wants.

Honestly sounds like driving in the bay… except if you’re that slower car in front to the left, you can’t move right because everyone immediately tries to pass you on the right for no reason. I swear you can’t win here because everyone does 75 or 55; nothing between.
