Americans *didn't want* a kinetic conflict or war or whatever you want to call it. Donald Trump and his cronies did. Shouldn't they be the ones to suffer that "little bit of sacrifice"?

I've recommended this before, but I'll say it again. Watch the 2006 film, The Lives of Others. It's a film about the years leading up to the fall of the Berlin Wall. We're so close to falling into a catastrophic state similar to that one.

You've got to hand it to Trump. Wittingly or not, he's helped Americans understand that freedom isn't free and the government doesn't run on its own. Participation and vigilance are essential.

Seriously. I went to see Bernie in Missoula in 2016. Unbelievable crowd that day. Looking back, he may not have been the best POTUS in history, but I do think he'd have beaten Trump by a lot. And just think how much better off we'd be today.
I bet Ron Johnson would change his tune if some officer of the law decided to take him into custody and toss him into the slammer without a warrant or probable cause. But maybe he'd be OK with that. 🤷♀️
