Would it be smart to start proactively mapping the locations of prospective ICE warehouses, to support proactive defense against them being sold to DHS? Like, is that reasonable, or are there too many variables and too many potential sites for that to be useful? And / or is anyone doing this?

Ah, got it. Everyone thinks my kid looks like my husband! When he really most resembles my dad :)

I’m white and my husband is of Filipino descent. I’m very curious to see how this plays out as our kid gets older! We were in the Philippines in 2022 and saw a lot of mixed couples (tourists, mostly)—only one was Asian man and white woman (aside from us). Our family stood out!

Appreciating @nathanalderman.com’s considered and diligent reporting. Note that institutions have little power or interest in using it to keep us safe. YES, of course we’re anti-ICE! We’re also pro-immigrants, pro-compassion, pro-humanity, pro-neighbor. Despite what some would have you believe, this is actually a winning message!

Yes, exactly this. One judge in our immig courts was replaced *mid-hearing.* The back and forth btw the DHS atty and the IJ was just sickening. A dog and pony show to give the appearance of a hearing when the decision was predetermined.

I sat in on immig court today in a different state. The degree of collusion btw the IJ and DHS was sickening. Denying bond to an elder here 32yrs bc he’s a flight risk?! Denying bond to a member of the Maldonado-Bautista class. And on. Goalposts keep moving and the disregard for process is enraging
