Sollen wir oder dt Journalisten nun als als wertkonservative Öffentlichkeit vom CDU/CSU-Ministerium fordern ein deutsches(!) Wort für dieses Vorhaben bereitzustellen? Oder wäre es zynisch bei der Sprache zu bleiben. Vielleicht ist es aber ein wichtiger Schritt, und einen Versuch wert.

I do not know what made
me go along, to and into using such a wide and open and undefined *we*…
Also, many of us have been caught up in focusing on ego, on personal reach, attention, opinions, instead of getting into the complexities of political (effective) action together. And by focusing on content creation, (we) have unconsciously played along, all within the playbook of the tech giants.
It's a little tricky or trite, but we may have gotten what we sowed by sitting here and there in comfort instead of fighting and cooperating smarter.
And maybe with Trump/Musk/AFD we will also get our comeuppance for not organizing better, for not imagining better, for not fighting the necessary battles.
Until now we have not translated the values behind a beautiful social practice (open source, etc.) into ideas and examples that convince and excite enough people.
Another reason we failed so far -seems noble- but also a bit naive, we have not used our knowledge/superiority to break through politically where we need to in order to turn (socially) progressive ideas and into material reality, we have failed to integrate them into institutions and processes.
It remains an unfulfilled idea or vision to build and establish software truly different, we have reproduced a lot. And it seems now, at this point in time, we are forced to revisit priorities.
We failed to integrate knowledge. Maybe we can start being more honest about this?
A superiority of the (good) tech scene, which I think still leads to dysfunctional communication... I still see missing perspectives as a reason why we have failed to establish the use of technology for a "better" democracy.
Are we always a bit guilty of the same superiority we do criticize?
We (?) also rarely thought enough about UX or scaling...
When most of the people from "our" scene moved to open source/open knowledge projects, and I moved to a VC-funded, exponentially growing startup to learn, I experienced a moral superiority from so many (especially in ger).
