What do you think the point of reading for and writing a literature review is? The process of reading and writing is crucial for THINKING. Your ideas are shaped by all of this, offloading it to gAI, no matter how "good" you think gAI is at it defeats the purpose entirely.

The irony is that we are already equipped with the skills to accomplish that already: writing code.

Front cover of Lowell Green's book "Mayday! Mayday! Curb immigration. Stop multiculturalism. Or it's the end of the Canada we know!"
From the back-cover of the book:
"CAUTION: This book must be read with an open mind!
Lowell Green presents a powerful, persuasive, well-documented and incredibly well researched argument for a substantial reduction in Canada's yearly intake of immigrants and refugees, and an immediate halt to multiculturalism.
Lowell minces no words in demonstrating how immigration has changed from the early 1990sβwhen about four European immigrants arrived here for every non-Europeanβuntil today, when about four non-European immigrants arrive for every one of European descent."
Radio host told to apologize
Insulted Somalis on-air
CFRA Radio talk show host Lowell Green has been criticized by the Canadian Broadcast Standards Coun- cil for using excessive sarcasm on the air in discussing the Somalia inquiry. Radio host told to apologize INSULTED SOMALIS ON-AIR An Ottawa radio host who racially abused Somalis on his show has been told to apologize by the Cana- dian Broadcast Standards Council. Lowell Green was investigated af- ter a listener complained that the CFRA talk show host had "incited hatred against people of Somali origin" during a 1997 broadcast.
within a reasonable period of time. "In all my 40 years of broadcast- ing, it's the most astonishing thing that's ever happened to me," Mr. Green said yesterday. "How they could misinterpret what I said is beyond belief." He said he had sup- ported Somalis and hadn't meant his remarks to be taken seriously. He didn't say if he would apologize. Mr. Green says he was taken off the panel of CTV's Sunday Edi- tion in 1998 largely because he referred to senators as "lard ass- es," although a Sunday Edition producer said the dismissal was unrelated.
The council said Mr. Green's use of sarcasm led to a breach of the private broadcasters' code. Ron Cohen, council chairman, said that while they understood Mr. Green's concept of using sarcasm, his execution was wrong and he had used inappropriate words. "The problem had to do with the use of various disparaging terms as 'wog' which the council considered were abusively discriminatory." Mr. Cohen said Mr. Green faces no penalty, but the council expects him to make an on-air apology

Radio host Lowell Green
chastised for 'abusive' remarks about Muslims BY CHRIS COBB Veteran Ottawa open-line radio host Lowell Green con- travened Canadian broad- casting standards when he made "abusive and discrimi- natory" remarks against Mus- lims, the national broadcast watchdog ruled yesterday. According to the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council (CBSC), Mr. Green launched an "uninformed and unfair" attack when he told his CFRA audience in early December that the majority of Muslims are fanatics and extremist be- haviour is symptomatic of the religion, not just a radical mi- nority.

Bruce Fanjoy:
Statement Regarding the Return to Office Policy
February 9*, 2026
On February 5th, 2026, the federal government announced an updated Return-to-Office
(RTO) policy for federal public servants. Today, I am calling upon the government to reconsider this policy for the following reasons:
1. The new RTO policy makes it harder to achieve the government's priorities of reducing the operating cost of government, improving affordability, and respecting the environment. Instead, it will cost both the government and citizens more and increase pollution.
2. There is little to no evidence that a one-size-fits-all RTO policy will improve productivity or service to Canadians.
3. The RTO policy makes it harder for public servants to balance work with other responsibilities.
I believe Canada is better served by a hybrid model that balances a mix of in-office and remote work. The right balance is flexible and depends on circumstances. Done well, a hybrid model reduces the cost of government and benefits workers and all Canadians.
To my constituents in Carleton, I hear you. I will continue to press for solutions that work for you and all Canadians.
Sincerely,
Bruce Fanjoy

I understand why non-public servants in Ottawa are rolling their eyes at public servant complaints about the return to office mandate.
But as Luke points out, what is the point of going to a building where you have no office and are spending the entire time on MS teams video calls?
It's ludicrous.
