With Kentucky families struggling to deal with rising prices, the GOP-controlled General Assembly took 30 days and nearly $2 million to pass a single bill this legislative session.
SB 172 is a bipartisan bill to stabilize energy costs. @govandybeshear.bsky.social signed it into law.
Left out of the KY GOP state budget:
• Teacher pay raises
• School bus funding
• Pre-school funding
But it DOES have:
• Education funding freezes
• Health insurance premium hikes for state workers
