I've released a new album today.
Obviously, it's about weather conditions... 😉

Bandcamp Friday today, so a little thread of retored/curated very old mostly cylinder recordings I've put up.
First, the king of the banjo (as a lead instrument) and Ragtime pioneer, Vess L. Ossman!

RIP Éliane Radigue...
Musique de notre temps (1976) by Éliane Radigue album cover. Photograph of Radigue at the controls of a large analogue synthesiser, with the entire image tinted very light pink.
'Music recorded through the late 60s and 70s was released during the 2000s, and the extraordinary focus Radigue had maintained over the period of half a century became clear, revealing a sound world that few had previously had chance of hearing.'

Precisely. The subject of one of my favorite pieces by Lynn Hunt, which I love teaching
"That these remarkable records could be silently, globally treasured rebuts the market’s interminable short-termism. We celebrate [Mark] Hollis’ resistance to economic forces, and champion his exploitation of major labels, bequeathing us radical perfection. Great art always wins out in the end."
Laurie Spiegel's groundbreaking music software / instrumant "Music Mouse" is going to be re-released by Eventide after 40 years.

It's actually a photo. By Amp Puttipong, a very talented photographer from Bankog.
Great album by DaFou, his first on the excellent label Cyclical Dreams.
If you are into Berlin School inspired music with immersive, long form ambient sensitivities, this should be just your coup of tea (...it surely is mine). :-)

An unofficial supergroup made up of Klaus Schulze, Harald Grosskopf, Manuel Göttsching, Dieter Dierks and Jürgen Dollase. Jams were recorded at acid parties and released without most participants knowledge. Great space rock
This was one of my first favourite albums and Saga my first favourite band when I started to collect LPs as a 13 year old, back in 1983. And it's one of my favourite albums still, all those years later...
My next sequencer-driven album "A Sequence of Colours" will be released on Cyclical Dreams on Friday, December 12, as download and CD.
Plus, there will be a special 2-CD edition available from my own Bandcamp page (in the "Merch" section).
I'm just listening to this wonderful (Wonderful!) album by Barry Cleveland & Robert Rich!!! 😊 Sheer sonic bliss!!!
