Finola Cahill's poem "Nothing Girl Makes Friends" was selected as Highly Commended by poetry judge Mícheál McCann. Recently, Finola Cahill was the runner-up for the Patrick Kavanagh Award, and was highly commended in the Fool for Poetry pamphlet competition.

So pleased to have this poem in the latest edition of the Cormorant, amongst many other beautiful pieces in the issue. It’s great to have such an interesting publication coming out of the North West.

Thats such a shame, Jamie. It’s going to have huge implications for the whole arts eco system, and I agree with you that it will inevitably cause more artists to simply give up.

Having received previous Arts Council funding now disqualifies you from the Agility Award. Obviously resources are limited but it’s hard to support this decision. What is out there to support artists in the massive middle ground between first agility award and a bursary?
