Recorded this day, 1951: Session for Lee Konitz' 10" LP 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙨 (Prestige). Pianist & theoretician George Russell dedicated this piece to boxer Ezzard Charles, the Cincinnati Cobra. Miles doesn't play the difficult theme but his contrapuntal line is very effective.
