The idea that Labour is now picking up the transphobes that the Green Party of England and Wales has ejected ought to appal every decent Labour member.

As someone who routinely mocks permabullish clickbait oil forecasts, I want to be exceptionally clear:

Crude WILL go to $200/bbl, en route higher, unless traffic through the Strait resumes.

Not clickbait, but rather brutal physics and necessary economic incentives.

I get why players cannot bet on games. That's fucking beyond obvious. But, unless Martines has a personal stake in this company, why can't he promote them, because he does every time he plays a match!

"Labour came into government to do breakfast clubs, not to invade Iran. I came into office to invade Iran."

I don't think I can vote for a Labour Party with Mahmood in it, nevermind a Labour Party with her in the cabinet

It's extra weird because the indies who didn't run were both ex UKIPers as well

Having done a bit of digging, the indie's were both UKIP candidates for Murton in 2017, and been indie's since. That makes it extra weird

How the fuck can you get such an effective tactical vote established since May 2025?

Deluded. Labour lost about ten points during the course of the 2024 campaign. A strategic triumph it was not.

Today I learnt he won because Rod Liddle got 5% for the SDP....

They should be better about optimising their message re these things. I still have no idea why they decided the 'don't raise fuel duty' was the sort of thing to post on here. That's for Facebook! Only thing that'll do here is contribute to curious voters rolling their eyes and being against it

On occasion I wonder what would have happened if Corbyn stood down in 2017 to let JMD take over. You don't get the Salisbury stuff at least

Also, any person who knows anything about YouTube will tell you the video title should be 'is Britain broken' as that's what'd get juiced by the algorithm, with the thumbnail being 'answer will shock you'. They're useless in every respect

Lou Holtz was fired as head coach at Arkansas because he kept taping campaign ads for Jesse Helms.

He was too racist for Arkansas. In 1983.

As someone in the UK, I just don't get it. The pricing in particular shows it has absolutely no attachment or understanding to the UK market, in a stadium nearly double the size of the Aviva in Dublin, to watch those teams! 45k at Wembley looks terrible, looks great in Dublin

The fact that NBC has made regular season basketball broadcasts more interesting and is committing to this idea (both great but also obvious) really makes me wonder what on earth decision makers at TNT/ESPN have been doing for the last decade

As someone who has survived multiple jaw bone infections and needed several endodontic treatments for tooth infections, let me tell you that this man died in one of the most painful ways possible

They tortured him. An untreated tooth infection is torture.

Think also the British public have a better read on Trump because they don't have to rationalise a take through "But we can't openly admit he's mad".

This is good, insofar that it makes the Manchester leg more likely long term. Still remains an absurdist joke that it is not making it to Manchester

The most surprising thing in a way, is how few Green voters would prioritise opposing Labour over Reform. It shows a real route back in for Labour, if they could ever try and take it

Think there is something to be written about how bad the news environment has got for people who want to keep up with politics but don't have the time/knowledge to go beyond the flagships.
