Finally got the knitting machine working

My 10 year old arduino lilypad board only works on my 13 year old laptop and not on my 3 year old laptop. I finally gave in and ordered the adafruit flora board to replace it. I am having feelings about obsolescence.

Now is an extremely bad time to try buying electronic and computer parts in the US and I am so frustrated. Anyone have a spare FTDI Basic 5v they want to sell me?

Praying that my ancient arduino wearable parts will still work. I am profoundly not interested in spending more money on new stuff. But also I can't wait to finish this project so I can really invest some time in experimenting more with wearables.
