I left the office at lunch to come home for the afternoon and I stopped by the studio to uncover my stuff so I can hopefully trim after work. Stuff was pretty wet but I’m hoping 4 hrs of drying uncovered gets them there. 🤞🏻 otherwise I can’t go until Tuesday.

(Also I guess add this to the ever lengthening list of data points about my probable but undiagnosed adhd)

Yeah I’m very bitter you can’t create smart playlists on the actual phone. Or at least you couldn’t last I looked into it. I rarely organize anything from my actual computer.

That would be rad!

We’ve reached over 21hrs and I’m just through the Gs but I’m testing it so far and it seems to be doing the mental trick of giving me random but good brain tickling.

I prefer to listen to music on shuffle in general. But I get in weird brain moods where I just skip 9 out of 10 songs because I want Not That. So now I’m making a playlist of hundreds of songs I rarely skip just so I can bridge the gap in my stupid brain needs. 🙄

I suck at handbuilding and absolutely don’t have the patience for it so I commend you there lol

Still baffles me that we have to just…go to work amidst The Horrors. If we’re lucky enough to still have a job.

That bowl is fantastic!

It is really hard to overstate how much damage has been done to this country on a purely institutional level, and we have three more years of this shit.

I hate this so much because there is no, and has never been any, demand to impose sharia law in this country.

On the other hand, we do have religious extremists currently stealing our freedom and those guys should stop.

Like y’all see I can make *pretty* things but I’m still so insecure about my technique. Walls are too thick or just uneven thickness, bottoms sometimes heavy, etc. I don’t have the focus to keep at one aspect until I have it right. I wing it all! 🤪

I let one of my pottery friends coax me into going to a local arts exhibit - I’m glad I did. She’s trying to get me to try to join the group but I still lack so much confidence, and it involves a portfolio review. (What even is a pottery portfolio?) eep. I feel guilty even calling myself an artist.

What I wouldn’t give for a season of throwdown that used real glazes for artistic effect rather than underglazes for twee decor.

I did actually attempt this today. It’s not meant to literally be David Bowie but an abstract impression of this outfit and photo. I plan to glaze most of it black but use my tape resist to make the lines. Then some nice red on the stopper :) #pottery

Spent 4hrs or so at the studio today and threw 8 things which feels like a lot but also not a lot for that amount of time lol.

So sorry to hear this :(

I kinda would have liked to be excited about all the 250 years shit that was due this year, especially as a bicentennial baby. But it just feels like mourning.
