Actually this Atlas Astonishing 10 from March 1952 beats the Menace 9. “The Menace of the Walking Dead”. Great Stan Goldberg cover and a lot of Bill Everett work inside. Really fun and rare book. Cool that Goldberg was working with Everett, and Sinnott on this book. Gotta love Atlas!

Many believe this Menace 9 by Atlas to be the first cover appearance of “The Walking Dead”. A sick Gene Colan cover from Jan 1954. One of my favorite Atlas covers.
