It’s with great sadness that I learnt of Roger Speed’s passing today. He became a good friend after we first met at Elland Road, watching his beloved son, Gary, play for Leeds. A lovely man, who suffered an unbelievable tragedy and yet still somehow managed to be warm and kind. Very sad. 💔
I’d agree plus Rathbone in midfield. In the absence of any holding midfielders, he might have to gamble on being more ‘front foot’. This was exactly the outcome I feared when I saw the side picked for Chelsea, credit Phil for going for it but many others would have picked the reserves.
I had no optimism that Wrexham would get anything ahead of tonight’s match - Saturday impact too significant and that’s before I knew Moore was now out for weeks. So it was no surprise the night turned out as it did. My fear is that one cup match could derail the rest of the season. #wxmafc

I heartily agree. Although the audience last night almost certainly included a lot of retirees. They were all probably still there, singing along, hands in the air to The Cutter as I was heading up the M1.
Yeah, they whacked the mic level up 2nd half but he was always battling against the band.
Mac’s lengthy mutterings on the mic between songs, unintelligible to anyone standing more than 6 feet from the stage, also not great for an ageing audience. ‘Eh? What’s that? Speak up!’.

I went to see Echo & The Bunnymen in Holmfirth (lovely venue but hard to get to)last night, a school night. They didn’t come on until after 9pm, they played about 30 mins, then went off for a 20 min break. All the big hits were in part 2 but I had to leave. Ticket was £45. 🤔#rocknroll
