I started a Miro board and messed around with Gdevelop! That totally counts!
Thanks Jezza. I think a deck will actually help me nail down things I'm not sure on. A specific one being the art style/visuals. I want something quite bold but I'm limited by my own skill level, so some experiments with that is also something I need to do.
Thanks! Thinking quite a bit about the intention. Considered some branching and reactivity but I've since landed on the idea of it being linear and fully voiced (this part is ambitious). My plan this week is to figure out the scope of it all and what to prioritise first.
Kingdom Come Deliverance is fun and all but you need some goblins in there for it to actually hit.
If not goblins then some other form of weird little guy.
But preferably goblins.
Right now I'm thinking this is like a 30 minute to 1 hour game. Simple mechanics (but I'm not a designer/coder so all of that stuff takes me longer) lots of writing. I'm doing the art and music too (competent but beginner).
I'm working on my own thing and I don't have a deadline. Someone give me one, quick!
First episode of White Lotus is exactly like the first episode of a new season of Big Brother.
If you ever wanted to illustrate the differences between X and Bluesky, search "Kingdom Come" in each app.
I'm crap at food pics but it tastes good. Trust.
Pre-caramelized onions.
Caramelized onions.
Progress.
No fenugreek, no party.
These bastards make everything taste good.
Listening to the Far: Lone Sails soundtrack and making a curry.
Honestly there are worse Sundays.
Don't be a coward. Toast your spices.
Nothing about this meal will be "healthy".
We're gonna flex with this one.
Yes. I am lazy.
How many onions?
Yes.
A clay dog's hand uses a pencil to cross out a date on the calendar, the 12th. It's labeled "Gromits birthday". The calendar has 29 days, making it February
A vintage-style picture of Wallace and Gromit, the stop-motion characters. Here, Wallace has 80s-style hair and a mustache. He smiles and presents a dog-bone-shaped birthday cake to Gromit, a cute puppy
It's Gromit's birthday ๐
I feel like this has only been done in a really limited way (like how when you load Witcher 3 it does a recap cutscenes but there's not many of them and they're quite vague).
Something more bespoke like this would be awesome.
A good old fashioned "day of overwhelming dread and anxiety".
My current gig is slowly wrapping up- and I'm keen to sink my teeth into the next project! I'm open to both video game or board game designer roles. Please share and or ping me if you have a lead :) #openforwork #gamedesign #gamedesiger
Fenland of East Anglia (a nature reserve). Swampy water bed with straw-like reeds goring from it. Slightly overcast sky.
A wooden fence and gate being consumed by tall reeds and grass.
I'm making something.

Making me wait another week for Severance is an act of violence.
Is AC Valhalla the only game set in East Anglia? It's low-key weird around here so I'm making a little game set in the fens.
National Trust are hiding a dark secret.
I watched it ages ago and I still think about it a lot. Absolutely gutted we're not getting more.
Liz Kendall claimed ยฃ1000s on utility expenses for her second home.
She thinks people on benefits are "taking the mickey".
