Yes. I tried to use a “foreign” word that’s in common usage in today’s spelling bee and it wasn’t accepted. Very hit and miss.

It’s interesting that the NYT word games don’t recognise some absolutely correct mainstream words, but often use words that seem a bit iffy.

A lobbyist who worked directly for Peter Mandelson, on the Palantir board, and on the board of *four* NHS trusts.

Lobbying the NHS to hand over even more patient data to Palantir.
