Man the more I think about it, I loved Octis and Thaisa's little spat. There's this enormous wedge between them right now, and it would be more weird if they weren't getting snippy with each other (while being tormented by shadow creatures and necromantic eugenists).

There's been people that follow pokemon solely to shit on it and Nintendo no matter what for years now. It is very funny to see them upset about a game succeeding critically and commercially.

Aesthetically, Dragonite has always been one of my favorites, but I almost never use it in games. Don't love it's move set, hard to level up, kinda had its lunch ate in later games.

Dragon being a special type and Dragonite's ev's being heavily Atk focused is really bothering me

I do agree. The first one was fun on the surface, but it really did not give much to be excited about in a sequel beyond just adapting more Nintendo things people like. It had enough small issues to me to be very worried about the sequel.
