Back from a week in York. Great place. My /p gear failed miserably so will be improving it over time. While away my OCFD gave out too at home. Now running at half height with a bit missing until I get to replace it sometime.
Sounds like a simple fix. I've noticed today that an are a few minutes walk from me has become a POTA site. Not sure how discreet you can be there though it's a tiny area. Is your 12v or 9v?
