This new building in the Fantasy area replaces the former Octowuzy play area.

Work continues in Phantasialand’s Fantasy area on a rumoured new restaurant
Basement foundations have been poured & the walls are going vertical, including a curved middle structure
Beside the Snack terrace has been stripped away minus trees & rear structures of Schwan Snack have been demolished
Last but not least the construction site by the Fantasy area lake continues
The foundations in the excavated pit have been poured
Right up to the back of the existing quick service Schwan Snack the flooring has been pulled up & the Snack’s glass canopy removed
The grand finale show Magic Symphony introduced last year continues to impress
To mark the start of Wintertraum this year the park released online the show’s soundtrack
Fun-fact: the song used is sung by Joelle Loffelhardt, daughter of the park’s owners
Pulse of Rookburgh
The laser show features a completely new soundtrack which remixes parts of the Rookburgh soundtrack
For safety FLY does not operate during the short show; however they have timed the next dispatch so the train is launched on the show’s final beat
The daily tree lighting ceremony which is one of the mini lights shows through the day has been reworked completely this year
Kaiserplatz Illumination sees lights, water fountains, a new song & for the first time a short firework display mark the moment the lights are turned on
Along the sides the bridge from Talocan into the area and the bridge through Mamba's loop; new themed fencing and hand painted signage has been added to further plus the detailed theming of Deep In Africa
Along the back of Kaiserplatz a new platform with a facade running through the middle has been built
This facilitates the fireworks infrastructure for the Wintertraum finale show & reduces noise from the show
Previously temporary scaffolding set on the land behind had been used for the fireworks
Guests Services have relocated into a new unit which is part of the newly built last year toilets building
The associated offices have also moved out of the 4D cinema into rooms behind between this & Wintergarten theatre
The former separate 2 Guest Services & Family Services units are now empty
Upon a closer look are a few noticeable unfinished spots
Most likely the park didn’t want a construction site in the square which is central to Wintertraum & the final elements will also be added in the off season
Recently the park moved quickly to construct new facades & buildings along the Mexico side of Berlin’s Kaiserplatz
This includes a new permanent outlet “Berliner Wurst” for anyone looking for Bratwurst, Currywurst, drinks and fries
Across Fantasy new Wuze themed lanterns of mushrooms, flowers & eggs are being set up to add more light and colour to the area at night
Wintertraum 2024 has also brought some new food offerings such as various crumbles, fruit punches, various homemade donuts, & waffles with apple, cinnamon & cream
Klugheim’s new backdrops
Presumably area around the gateway between areas & the bottom of the stairway will be redeveloped also to finish the transition and visuals
Certainly the concept art the park teased back in March suggests maybe more structures to come?
Down by Chiapas’ exit there is currently an odd mishmash of Klugheim & Mexico
The lower half of the facades are being Mexico themed, and frame mounts & gaps exist for a dividing roof to separate the views from the path & Chiapas
This will be finished in the off season
Up on the bridge a colourful new Mexico street is taking shape
For Wintertraum a couple of stalls have been set up in one of the new buildings
Presumably further theming & covered seating areas will be placed in them in the off season
Throughout the year PHL has been transforming the landscape between Klugheim & Mexico
Firstly to make each area more immersive & secondly to create a new connecting route from the Mexico bridge down to the Chiapas exit
Silverado Theatre is home to Spectaculum Phantastere a fun variety show
This year the impressive singer James Smith Jr has joined the cast
He is the son of James Smith, the park’s longest serving performer of 27 years, who sadly passed away this year

Instead Tiempo de Fuego is back!
There are some modifications presumably as it is using the infrastructure for the new show
This includes new surprise effects, higher quality projectors & a completely new fire effects section set to a remix of the rave cave music from Chiapas!
Der Verbotene Tempel (The Forbidden Temple) will be the new musical projection mapping & fire show at Chiapas
It will replace Tiempo de Fuego which has been a staple of Wintertraum since 2014
However it seems the new show isn’t ready yet despite being on the park maps
Following some months closed for major technical work Talocan has reopened running the same as before thankfully
Note to anyone visiting as always alongside Chiapas Talocan closes 1700 daily to avoid crowd flow & noise issues for the Tiempo de Fuego show
