We're just a group of teenagers who dress in the same bright, easily identifiable colors, go by secret nicknames and solve basically all of our problems with violence. Jean Grey: A gang honestly.

I would love Bobby to have real drama. A lot of gay characters end up paired off permanently, and while I like many of those ships, Bobby is a great choice to have messy MLM relationship drama.
I like the relationship too, crumbs was more to say it doesn’t happen that often/is not currently happening and only had the one arc. But you’re right it was pretty well don in all three books it appears in.
Beast/Evil Beast/Jenn is pretty good and it looked like Psylocke was going to go there with Greycrow/Kwannon/Shinobi. But this is why you have Emma/Tony fans. It’s crumbs, but when it’s working it’s also trope-y and messy and fun.
There’s not enough romance drama in modern X-Men. It’s fine some characters are happy/committed. But navigating interpersonal and romantic drama WHILE being hated and feared is an important aspect that’s sort of missing. Some of this is fandom’s fault and I’m not sure there’s a solution to THAT.
Maybe X-Men United will be the balm for this, as it’s a good way to get people from other books together. Eve can certainly write compelling drama.
