The richest man owns X.
The second and third richest men control Google.
The fourth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
The fifth richest man owns The Washington Post.
And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros.
See the problem here?
I'm pretty sure survival/success in this moment has nothing to do with how "tough" your city is--it's about how connected and caring your neighbors are.
Remember her name: Aliya Rahman
Her testimony is everything and it deserves to be heard, by everyone. Decide for yourself.
It’s powerful. It’s gut-wrenching. And no one should have to survive what she did.
ICE MUST GO‼️
❤️
Eviction moratorium. Residential and commercial.
The federal presence in Minnesota has been especially tough on our local businesses.
Choosing to shop local, grab takeout, or visit a neighborhood store is one way we can stand with our neighbors and continue to show the nation what it means to respond with care and decency.

Welcome to life in Minneapolis 2026.
We're so connected to our community, even our cars are pushing us to persevere in getting peace and justice for our neighbors.
Alex Pretti was an American hero. He saved lives. He protected people. He cared deeply about his community, unlike the murderous thugs who killed him.
The very last thing he did was try to help a woman who had been pepper-sprayed and violently shoved to the ground by ICE. 1/
I know I keep posting about this but every time I check, the list gets longer and longer and longer. Hundreds and hundreds of places, everything from huge local institutions to small spots that will definitely struggle.
No exaggeration, it's the most astonishing act of solidarity I've ever seen.
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Cmdr. Greg Bovino is seen deploying a gas canister at Mueller Park in south Minneapolis this afternoon.

Here’s the report from KARE. The boy is five-year-old Liam Ramos.
school being canceled because the president sent armed thugs to harass and imprison the populace for voting against him should be the biggest domestic scandal in american history
it is -10 here today. I was supposed to go do a volunteer shift standing outside loading groceries into people’s cars to deliver to families stuck at home. just got a call not to come in because they have too many volunteers already. if you were wondering if the cold would stop us.
This! This happened within a mile of major hospital and less than 2 miles from a Level 1 center. 4 months earlier, first responders got 20 gunshot victims to the same hospitals from 20 blocks further away, in less time than it took EMS to get to her—clearly EMS were being impeded.
When you’re not the good guys in the story
ICE just confronted us in our car saying it’s our first & final warning. There’s nothing illegal about driving your car safely on Stinson, Lowry, or any street in our community.
They are purposefully surging at school get out times terrorizing our families. Ice needs to stay away from our kids.
This is surreal. 4 Oglala Lakota men kidnapped by ICE in Minneapolis have finally been located. One of them was released but the other 3 are being held at Fort Snelling, a former concentration camp used to imprison Native people incl. the Dakota 38 during Dakota Wars.

These morons.
This. My mom is the same, too. She can walk, but she can’t walk very far, and she really has trouble with standing (like in a queue) for more than a couple minutes. Wheelchairs at the airport have made a huge difference for her.
Minneapolis City Council Members Ask Community Members to Shop at Immigrant-Owned Businesses Amid Federal Immigration Enforcement This holiday season, we ask you to take action. Shop at immigrant-owned businesses in Minneapolis: buy groceries, share a meal, purchase gifts, and spend time in our vibrant commercial corridors. Your presence matters. Your support matters. We can help our immigrant neighbors and keep our communities strong during this difficult time. With the increase in federal immigration enforcement actions in our community, we are seeing unspeakably traumatic and life-changing events; families are being torn apart, neighbors are being disappeared, and communities are being left to pick up the pieces. Our office has been on the ground in our wards talking with residents and community members, working to connect impacted families with resources. One of the things we hear repeatedly is that our local businesses are facing a significant strain and chilling effect from the ongoing federal immigration enforcement operations. Our local immigrant-owned businesses are dealing with employees and coworkers in fear of being abducted, and their main clientele is so scared to leave their homes. Some local immigrant-owned businesses have seen upwards of an 80% decrease in customers. Together, we can stand up for our immigrant neighbors, and with your support, we can show our local immigrant-owned businesses that we know they make our city great. The diversity of our commercial corridors is the fabric of who we are as a city; they make Minneapolis vibrant and welcoming. We are resilient and rich in culture, art, and shared community because of them. A map of District 64A. The western boundary is the border of Minneapolis; the eastern boundary is 35E. On the north, it's mostly 94 but in some spots it's Selby; on the south, it's mostly Saint Clair but then at Hamline it extends down to Randolph.
Saint Paul, Minnesota people. Are you in District 64A? IF YOU ARE IN DISTRICT 64A YOU HAVE AN ELECTION TODAY!

I KNOW YOU JUST VOTED, BUT YOUR HOUSE REP GOT ELECTED MAYOR AND NOW IT'S TIME TO PICK HER REPLACEMENT.
I don’t live in your area, but somehow came across your reporting. As soon as I saw the CNN story, I thought of your coverage (and also thought they were missing some key points you covered). Local reporters—and true investigative reporters—are essential. Thank you for doing what you do!
Performance duos who started in MN? Pretty sure Jim and Tammy Faye Baker belong on this list.
