Long one. I have mostly stopped after Genius. Much too long.
@mizkitty
Shocked to be in my 84th year. Lifelong blue voter, though I don't post or comment about politics, just cats, nature, photos, gardens, food. Buddhist, lapsed meditator, but still trying (often failing) to live the teachings of the Dhamma. Go Ducks!

I'm glad to hear that. I was wondering the same thing.
I can't wait to see/watch the new babies grow!
That is one of the best remembrances or eulogies I have ever read. Sweet all the way through, and so telling of each dog's personality and passing. They are with us far too short a time, but you really brought her to life with this. π’π
I think it was too large. I'm familiar with titmice, but this was more robin size, or cardinal, and we don't have cardinals here.
Hah. Probably not. I haven't seen any signs of nesting birds yet.
No. I see those too. This bird was smaller and seemed drab in color.
You remember more than I do. There was a sign and I read it, but I donβt remember much.
LOL. I use the same term sometimes. Itβs what we had then.
Too big. The only crested bird around that size I ever see is a Cedar Waxwing, but Iβm pretty sure it wasnβt one of those. Didnβt act like one, and too dark, I think. Not a kingfisher. Mystery!
Adequate light is my problem. Next year Iβll get a better setup. Those bags seem like a great idea.
I would love to have a real greenhouse. Smaller, though.
Great! I struggle with the indoor seed starting game. Most of my early efforts never grew. They didnβt die, they just didnβt grow. Iβve learned a lot and will hopefully have a better setup next year.
I thinned a few already, but these seem like they might grow. I think they really liked their day in the warm sunshine.
It does sort of feel that way. Iβm looking forward to it.
Congrats!
It wonβt last, but it should be good for them.
Yes. I swear that they are liquid. πΉ
Took my tiny tomato sprouts out to the greenhouse for some good sunlight today. Temp inside was 78f, with the flap wide open. They should enjoy this! Iβll bring them in when it starts to cool off. Outside temp around 60f at the moment.
He only has one -- the one on my desk. He has a toy basket, but doesn't attempt to sleep in that!
Close up of white blossoms on a tree.
Crested bird of some kind, flitting around but not very close. I donβt see crested birds often around here.
Iβm always drawn to fun lighting and interesting colors and textures.
Morning walk in the sunshine! Beautiful white blossoms, a crested bird, and dewy sunshine on grass and leaves.
Probably! But I didn't want somebody pointing it out.
Planning some mischief, without doubt!
I misspoke. I don't know if it formed the gorge, should have said 'flows through', but I saw it after I'd already posted and it was too late to fix.
I can understand that! Pretty special place to live, from the Pacific to the mountains and everything in between.
A narrow river rushes through a rocky gorge. The water is blue, green, with some white rapids. The rocks are covered with moss, and large ferns overhang here and there.
A spot in the upper Rogue River, near Crater Lake, where some of it goes underground and emerges to form this narrow, rocky gorge before rejoining the main stream. #BlueSkyArtShow #Flowing #Oregon
A river flowing in a narrow spot. Some whitewater riffles then a spot of color ranging from pure aqua blue to dark green, to mossy green over a shallow area. It's a rugged, natural area.
Along the waterfall trail on the upper McKenzie River, not far from its source. Looks to be just below one of the big falls. Yes, it really is that color and that clear. The trail is steep and rough on both sides, but rewarding. #BlueSkyArtShow #Flowing #Oregon
Happy birthday to Badger! Spencer will be 3 in about a week.
He always makes me smile. Glad to share him. He can be a real sweetie when heβs not being a brat. πΉ
Thank you, hope you have a great day too. He is somehow very comfortable there.
