They were, but that also means that minimal effort is expended, almost certainly leading to minimal retention.
None, Paw Patrol is messageless, toy-selling Garbage. Hook them on Bluey or PBS Kids.
Heck, even Blippi is better.
That’s the best counterpoint. CGSC was still too easy though…
Western NY only went from 65 to 35 with no snow…
This commercial ran 2006-2008 for a reason:
It’s crazy that legalizing marijuana and gambling is happening nearly simultaneously.
With marijuana there has been real debate and discussion state by state over the effects and consequences.
Yet with gambling there’s been basically no discussion.
Which has a worse effect on society?
Yah, but good luck proving it. White Collar crime is both woefully unenforced and extremely easy to bypass as it always required clear intent to do harm.
Generally saying things like “market conditions changed” will get you out of the charges.
White collar crime needs major reform.
Your staff analysis is correct to be sure, but your example was flawed.
I also don’t think a blanket “Europe is better” has enough real data to back it up.
A worse (compared to 1863-5) US Army wrecked a European power in 1898.
I follow that, but I don’t think Army size comparisons at battles are fair.
The Austro-Prussian front was 270 miles while the American Civil War was at least double that with a significantly less developed roadway network (much of it was inland waterways).
I think you greatly underestimate the American Logistical planning that began to show starting in the Civil War and continuing to today.
If a European Army attached, I think at worst you have a Kasserine situation - a big defeat followed by learning.
That was more a function of infrastructure than anything else though.
It’s why the battles in Tennessee were 2/3 the size of the east.
The German wars were too short to really compare, but the US peaked at 4.5% of the population in uniform while Germany at 2.3%.
He ended up deleting his LinkedIn Profile today.
He’s a full-time reservist (AGR) at Army Reserve (USARC) HQ. I do know first hand it made the rounds at the Office of the Chief of the Army Reserve (OCAR), a closely related command.
I had fun engaging with it on Reddit this morning.
My favorite:
No DUIs. Sex crimes? No problem.
I want to know what happens if you are in NY or MI and get convicted of DWI; is this a big loophole?
Japan failed to protect its convoys in World War II for literally this exact reason.
This is about as Texan as it gets.
In Iraq I started avoiding the DFAC for Friday dinners because I don’t like eating Lobster or shoe leather.
Except when JMRC forces you to go there instead of Munich for MWR day in September when the Munich Oktoberfest is going on…
Sorry, it basically trashes the movie and points out that all the relationships (other than the nude stand-ins) are lust.
It seemed to affected the general reception of the movie moving forward…
The Atlantic takedown of the movie is legendary if you haven’t read it:
They've allowed professional engineers (mostly civil) do this for a few years now.
As a PE who came up from the bottom I find this program to be unhelpful and the direct commissioners I've met to be lacking.
(not to mention that Engineer Officers are supposed to lead troops in front-line ops)
I read that some do, some don't. It all depends on the status of your last physical.
Also, did they do a tattoo check for prior service? I imagine your second MEPS was an abbreviated process.
I'm not 100% he had to go to MEPS as prior service, especially if he was in the IRR going to the National Guard.
I was an Army Reservist and we had to strip Soldiers down and photograph, much as you did I'm sure.
Even weirder for part-timers though…
This is absolutely true, Upstate insurance prices are right at national averages.
Buffalo is a weird outlier. I wonder why? Buffalo City is denser than Rochester City (both denser than Nassau), but Monroe (Roc) is actually denser than Erie (Buf) County. Each city is only 25% of the metro pop.
But they will blow the money on blow!
That's sarcasm on my part, but it won't be for too many folks.
The guy on the left was arrested and convicted for illegally selling missiles to Iran during the Reagan Administration. The guy on the right is a Fox News "military analyst" who thinks Iran shouldn't have missiles
Yes, same guy.
Here’s an IZ “ROE“ story:
I was building small PBs 07-08, cowboy engineering all the way, dropping bombs and then M1s on security. No rules, just get the PB built in 15 days.
Years later a senior leader complains how his 05-06 Iraq was all red tape and couldn’t build anything without many reviews.
The Seneca sold Grand Island along with the rest of their land (this isn't controversial)
200 years later after illegal treaties, the courts ruled that the Senecas could extend sovereignty to any land they acquire.
I do hope the Senecas do what the Squamish did and develop it into housing.
