Personally, I would also be very concerned about where the localization data is stored, as I don't trust American and even less Japanese platforms to keep it safe and not sell it to third parties. Unfortunately nobody in Japan really cares about these things.

In my early days of learning Japanese, our teacher asked us to go home and make hiragana and katakana flash cards.
Deeming index cards too boring, I instead made two "apps" for the Dreamcast VMU to help me practice my characters. 😄

I finally managed to get my hands on a pair of Geofóns. Probably thanks to the DIY kit, which does not seem to be very popular (soldering and assembling was simple).
Since I am in Japan, I want to try them for their intended purpose, i.e., recording seismic activity.

Found this interesting collection of short stories by Eguchi Hisashi (江口寿史) from 1994 in a second-hand bookshop.
One of the stories, called Pocky, really reminds me of ONE's Mob Psycho 100. Lots of similarities so I wonder if that was one of the inspirations 👀.
