F this.
F this.
Posting here because itβs integral to how Iβve been feeling recently
If we had an opposition party in this country there would be tv and digital ads everywhere saying this.
There is no opposition party in the US. Any calculated and overly moderated consultant written response or strategy to this moment is the wrong message. We are in a crisis.
There is no such thing as a preemptive attack that murders a head of state. Such insane circumstances we live in.
We should be storming the White House over these war crimes.
"The Islamists oppose women getting an education," I mutter, as I aim my missile at the girls school
MNUFC CEO on making a statement against ICE: a statement from the club wasnβt βgoing to solve anything.β
The same club that had a German team cancel a game due to ICE
That had targets say ICE abductions and murders were part of their choice not to sign here
But when a fan makes a flag:
Like people are showing up to DSA meetings wanting to debate theory, and others are trying to make the corpse of the Dem party look cool and we are about to get steamrolled.
Our media is totally cooked and we as leftists arenβt ready for what is about to happen in the next few years.
This is how USPS, a critical service provided by the US govtβpaid for with taxes AND feesβcan be maliciously withheld or weaponized for the purpose of racial harassment & punishment for success.*
If Supreme Court says USPS can intentionally NOT DELIVER mail, consider BALLOTS.

What a time to watch the demise of the U.S. media landscape in record speed. π«¨
The SOTU just confirms the Dems canβt effectively be an opposition unified and on a coherent message. High school students are better at walking out than them. Itβs a bunch of people acting for themselves. While we have to build mutual aid as storm troopers drive through our hood
There is a lot of toxicity in politics because itβs high stakes. Anything that truly matters brings this out. But often itβs easy to chastise the toxicity from our opponents but excuse the toxicity from people we identify with. We have to change how we relate to movement work.
Comic. [Person is sitting at a desk with a laptop, turned toward voice coming from off-panel.] VOICE FROM OFF-PANEL: I got you the ingredients for dinner tonight. Oh, and the plums in the fridge drawer are for my yogurt tomorrow; you should just leave them. Be back later! PERSONβS THOUGHT BUBBLE: Oh no. [caption] Help. It actually happened. I shouldnβt. But how can I not!?

Maybe Iβm alone here, but a bunch of random Dems in Congress shouting at the president and nothing changing doesnβt project strength. A unified action would have. None of them should have gone. Then whatever response would have gotten covered and not been a blip.
If this were a serious country, if the Dems (are allowed) to take the government again weβd be doing truth and reconciliation hearings in javits nonstop for weeks.
Should go without saying Iβm not making any broad generalizations. The reason why you should join a political org is to build power to change this substantively.
Taking a step back, if Zohran galvanized you and you are surprised/frustrated with city politics, this video (though very basic) explains how exec politics works broadly. Start here and swap the players.

We need our own media, we need our own party. (we have a ton of work before, but still)
WHAT DID I JUST SAY?
Thank you, New York City. Together we made history.
Now letβs get to work.

Zohran Mamdani, the mayor-elect of New York City, will turn to veterans of City Hall, nonprofit executives and a former chair of the Federal Trade Commission β all of them women β to lead his official transition effort, he said on Wednesday. nyti.ms/4nHdyOP
These folks are not going to jump on board, they are still going to build an infrasturure around messaging and support to undermine left political projects until they are back in power. There is no point where we pull off the gas on organizing the working class around it's agenda.
I don't want to talk too much, but between the rule breaking of the BK Dems in previous years, r/ banning talking about ZM, using shady rules to stop Fateh in MN, and many establishment Dems still not talking about the race, it's clear there is a lot of work ahead still.
I almost can't believe that Elon Musk's AI called for the extermination of the Jewish people yesterday, and today not a single Congressional Democrat announced they were leaving his media network.
A party that often claims to act against antisemitism didn't do jack shit about straight up Nazism.
