If we had an opposition party in this country there would be tv and digital ads everywhere saying this.

There is no opposition party in the US. Any calculated and overly moderated consultant written response or strategy to this moment is the wrong message. We are in a crisis.

There is no such thing as a preemptive attack that murders a head of state. Such insane circumstances we live in.

We should be storming the White House over these war crimes.

The SOTU just confirms the Dems can’t effectively be an opposition unified and on a coherent message. High school students are better at walking out than them. It’s a bunch of people acting for themselves. While we have to build mutual aid as storm troopers drive through our hood

There is a lot of toxicity in politics because it’s high stakes. Anything that truly matters brings this out. But often it’s easy to chastise the toxicity from our opponents but excuse the toxicity from people we identify with. We have to change how we relate to movement work.

Maybe I’m alone here, but a bunch of random Dems in Congress shouting at the president and nothing changing doesn’t project strength. A unified action would have. None of them should have gone. Then whatever response would have gotten covered and not been a blip.

If this were a serious country, if the Dems (are allowed) to take the government again we’d be doing truth and reconciliation hearings in javits nonstop for weeks.

Should go without saying I’m not making any broad generalizations. The reason why you should join a political org is to build power to change this substantively.

These folks are not going to jump on board, they are still going to build an infrasturure around messaging and support to undermine left political projects until they are back in power. There is no point where we pull off the gas on organizing the working class around it's agenda.

I don't want to talk too much, but between the rule breaking of the BK Dems in previous years, r/ banning talking about ZM, using shady rules to stop Fateh in MN, and many establishment Dems still not talking about the race, it's clear there is a lot of work ahead still.

I almost can't believe that Elon Musk's AI called for the extermination of the Jewish people yesterday, and today not a single Congressional Democrat announced they were leaving his media network.

A party that often claims to act against antisemitism didn't do jack shit about straight up Nazism.
