How so? My health insurance is at least 30% less expensive than the Canadian average and has seen me through an insanely expensive health crisis. Then there's the rationing, resulting in a nearly 30 week wait time.

I'm very grateful not to be dependent on a government for healthcare.

A very common misconception and the entire point of the article: most Canadians don't realize just how much of their income goes towards paying for mediocre healthcare. In taxes, not out-of-pocket expenses.

Healthcare is much less expensive in the US, and generally superior.

The goal is quite clear - the primary goal, there are multiple objectives, with Russia and China being the ultimate targets - that 5 years from now Israel, the Sunni Arab states and NATO won't be threatened by a nuclear-armed Iran bristling with ICBMs and CCP hypersonic missiles.

Like the majority of Americans I have employer provided health insurance. It's conservatively 30% less expensive than, say, Canadian universal healthcare, and local medical facilities are very good.
