Before the ML wave, I always preferred working with someone with enthusiasm & hustle over someone who was "smart" or "talented".
In a world with machine learning, this becomes a no brainer
Even with open source dominating software, and more companies adopting plugin architectures, it's crazy how hard it still is to tweak the tools we use
It's increasingly the case that
"they only believe in this bc they make money from it"
Should be replaced with
"they only make money from this bc they believe in it"
Young parents I know:
1) Fear for their child's safety
2) Fear of influences push child to danger
3) Find unnatural surgeries to be dangerous
4) Find transitioning to be unnatural
Not saying that this line is justified, but that it's non abstract set of steps by which to start addressing opposition
Increasingly convinced that the best thing you could do for your career is have kids
Web3 still has some version of this problem right?
