The 8 thought voters would forget. We won't. Their jobs are now up for grabs. #PrimaryThem #HealthCareForAll #DemocratsForThePeople
They didn't reopen government for the people - they reopened it for themselves. Every furloughed worker, every family losing ACA help knows who sold them out.
@SenAngusking, @SenatorDurbin,
@SenatorShaheen, @SenatorHassan,
@SenTimKaine, @Sen CortezMasto,
@SenJackyRosen & @SenFettermanPA you folded. You blinked when millions needed you to fight.
They caved. 8 Senators chose saving their jobs over saving lives. Millions lost leverage for health care so they could coast to re-election. #PrimaryThem
πΊπΈ On #VeteransDay Iβm grateful for those who servedβwhose courage gives us peace to dream & build. Today Iβm thinking about the future of movement: bullet trains like Koreaβs, linking San Antonio, Austin, Dallas & Houston. Fast, clean, uniting Texas. π #TexasHighSpeedRail

Grateful to the @NAACP chapter at Texas State for hosting last night's forum. Their century-long fight for justice continues today - in housing, wages, & representation. The work isn't done, but together we can build a fairer San Marcos. chasenorris.org
I'm honored to be endorsed by the Hays County EMS Association (CWA Local 6115) - the first responders who keep San Marcos safe every day. Together, we'll fight for fair pay, mental health, & respect for those who serve.

I'm running for governor of Texas to refocus our government on issues that matter to regular folks, to fully fund public education, to save rural hospitals, to expand Medicaid. Join the fight at coleforgovernor.com!
13/ Tagging our allies so this call carries further:
@EqualityTexas @ACLUTx @transED @HRC @LambdaLegal @GLAAD @TrevorProject @PPGreaterTX @TxFreedomCaucus @EqualityTexas
12/ Texas can be a place where everyone is free to be seen, to live, to thrive. Letβs build it together. #TXLege #Pride
11/ We will not be silenced. We will not be invisible. Pride is protest. Our history, our identities, & our futures depend on resistance, compassion, & resilience. πβ
10/ β’ Mobilize the vote: Register, recruit, & vote out hate.
β’ Show up visibly: Pride, schools, workplacesβpresence is power.
β’ Protect youth: volunteer, donate, uplift.
9/ β’ Organize & amplify: Support Equality Texas, ACLU of Texas, TENT.
β’ Hold lawmakers accountable at town halls & in the press.
β’ Fund lawsuits to block these laws.
8/ But our voices are louder. Our movement is stronger. And we have a plan. Hereβs how we fight back:
7/ These bills arenβt just policy. They are acts of erasure. They endanger dignity, safety, & lives. They represent state-sanctioned cruelty.
6/ HB 1106 says refusing to affirm your childβs gender identity is not abuse. This legalizes harm in the name of βfamily values.β
5/ SB 8, the so-called βbathroom bill,β bans trans people from facilities matching their gender. Schools, shelters, prisonsβ$25kβ$125k fines enforce this cruelty.
4/ HB 229 defines βsexβ on official documents only by reproductive capacity. It erases gender identity, harms intersex Texans, & denies lived realities.
3/ But in Texas today, hard-won progress is under attack. The Legislature has passed cruel, targeted laws aimed at erasing LGBTQ+ people. Hereβs what we face: π§΅
2/ Those marches sparked changeβanti-discrimination protections, access to healthcare, marriage equality, & a culture that finally began to see us. Collective action works.
1/ π Pride is more than a parade. Itβs protest. It began in 1969 at Stonewall when queer & trans people resisted police violence. One year later, they marched for rights & visibility. β #Pride
7/ History shows what happens when vaccines are embraced, and when theyβre abandoned. We canβt afford to go backward.
6/ Public health should be guided by science & compassion, not politics. Vaccines protect all of us, especially the most vulnerable.
5/ π¬ mRNA research is especially promising. It can fight COVID, flu, RSV, HIV & even cancer. 𧬠Cutting it now means walking away from life-saving breakthroughs.
4/ These moves erode trust, weaken pandemic readiness, & threaten decades of progress. They turn back the clock to a time when outbreaks killed thousands.
