The proposed Trump budget is brutal, unless you’re the military or Homeland Security.
Here’s what gets cut:
- State Department: -84%
- National Science Foundation: -56%
- EPA: -54%
- HUD (housing): -44%
- Labor: -35%
- Interior: -30%
- Health & Human Services: -26%
- NASA: -24%
- Education: -15%
Musk and SpaceX are among the biggest winners in Trump’s 2026 spending plan. Trump is delivering on Musk’s wish list at both NASA and the Pentagon, reshaping federal space spending to funnel billions of dollars in new business directly to him.
The U.S. Army is planning a massive parade in Washington for its 250th anniversary conveniently on Trump’s 79th birthday. It will feature 150 vehicles, 50 aircraft, 6,600 troops, fireworks, and a full day of festivities. All on the taxpayers’ dime, of course.
Trump is already facing pushback from Congress on his budget proposal and now he’s planning to override them entirely.
His new budget would slash nearly every federal program by a total of $163 billion while leaving defense spending untouched.
