One more time: the footage that NPR confirmed shows a tomahawk missile striking the compound NEXT TO the girl’s school after the girl’s school had already been struck. It does NOT show the missile that struck the girl’s school.

So although it is LIKELY that missile was also US, it is not certain.

I’m sure Putin was impressed by the US blowing through a huge number of high-tech weapons on Iran so there would be none to sell to Ukraine.

The US is blowing up the oil infrastructure in Iran. Their oil exports are going to be diminished for a long time.

On a more philosophical level, you can still argue the US is responsible even if it was an Iranian air defense missile that hit the school, since the missile would never have been fired were it not for the US attack.

There have been similar incidents in Ukraine.

Unfortunately, this proves nothing. The Tomahawk hitting the Iranian base does not exclude the possibility that an Iranian air defense missile hit the girl’s school.

Remember when the Gaza hospital was hit during the Israeli bombing campaign, and it turned out to have been hit by a Hamas rocket?

Just because it’s a stupid reason doesn’t mean it’s not the reason. You can tell Trump this (and perhaps get fired), but will he listen?

We watched twice as highly qualified women, one a minority, lost to Trump, placing an unqualified, unintelligent, senile, grifting, racist POS in the White House. We watched Beto lose in Texas, twice. It is not unreasonable to ask whether Texas is ready to elect a black woman to statewide office.

On a more basic level his real motive is protecting his pathetically fragile ego, to be a “winner” and not a “loser”. To win every championship, award, election, court decision. To claim every victory and deflect blame for every defeat. He cannot be satisfied until he owns or controls everything.

The assumption here is that there is some sort of logical process going on here that Trump is hiding, when I suspect the truth is that even Trump doesn’t know why he attacked Iran. This was not based on a threat assessment by the NSC. It was based on people whispering in his ear and his “gut”.
