I would like to solve the issue with cyber security talent shortage by bring everyone up to around my skill level. I may not be the best potential candidate according to hiring mangers, but i can arm others with my tools to make the job easier.
I can however develop tooling for people stuck in the same pit i am in xD
I wouldn't teach or help anyone into a field i struggle with getting employement in. like it feels morally wrong to waste their time like i did.
often comes to me to figure out puzzle solutions i dont give them but i think it highlights the basis people have when hiring. I spent 8 years learning to hack and someone with a flashy resume and little experience gets jobs.
i have spent 8 months applying to every position under the sun. No good person of moral conscious would teach others to join a field they have failed to get employment in. My friend left the navy and he got a job offer, he struggles with basic ctf's.
i would not recommend cyber security to anyone, why? Because i have been trying to get another place of employment. I talked with many recruiters and hiring managers, none of them think my experience matters ultimately.
My plan now is to try something new, and release my software for businesses to buy and use with subscriptions.
