This Portland shooting happened a literal 3 miles from my house.
But I’m not scared for me. I’m scared for my community. I’m scared for other communities.
Honestly, I’m just really fucking scared for our country.
Yesterday in my sophomore English class we were given an emergency safety presentation on what to do if ICE shows up in our homes or schools.
Thank goodness I live in a place where they’ll have this talk with you, but it’s beyond sad to me that this is necessary.
